Melanie Kim tours the Napa Valley wine country by bike! A unique trip that gives you an opportunity to exercise your interest in wine – while exercising! Getaway Adventures owner and guide, Randy Johnson, offers wine country tours by hike, bike and kayak. His special take on wine tasting includes outdoor picnics and lessons in viticulture as you hop off your bike and walk right into the place where your favorite blends are made! The biking trip ends at RustRidge Ranch – where owners Susan and Jim Fresquez breed and train race horses in addition to operating an onsite winery, tasting room and bed & breakfast. This is located on 450 acres in Chiles Valley, a region known to produce exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel grapes. Besides the ranch style B&B, there are sweeping views of vineyards, pastures, playful foals, ancient oak trees, and a tasting room. A great place to rest your tired feet after a long ride!
