Our California Heartland crew recently visited the home of Fantastic Foods in Petaluma, California. The company is noted for creating instant hot meals, such as hot noodle soups, cereals, chilis, etc., with all-natural, vegetarian ingredients. When our crew arrived recently, the production line was churning out brand new hot meals to add to their list of more than 90 different products.

The various vegetables, grains, beans and spices come from all over the world. Forty percent of the ingredients used at Fantastic Foods come from California farms…the other percentage comes from as far away as France and India. The founder of Fantastic Foods, Jay Rosen, says that he feels a partnership with California farmers: he takes the healthy, delicious produce they grow, and turns it into a unique, interesting product for consumers. Our California Heartland crew was lucky enough to sample the latest creation at Fantastic Foods: tofu-based sloppy joes, soy noodle soups and a tofu srambler! Rosen says there will be many more delectable creations in the future!
