If you want to see where your steak comes from or share some organic gardening secrets head for Marin County. The Marin Agricultural Land Trust, a group which preserves its county's farmland, created a number of excursions to show city folk what it's like down on the farm.
MALT's other excursions range from a kayak paddle through Tomales Bay oyster beds to the Kehoe family's historic dairy at Point Reyes.
If you go, all the full-day events begin at 10:00 a.m. Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a bag lunch. The hosts provide the breathtaking scenery. The cost is $10 for members or $15 for non-members.
Call MALT at (415) 663-1158 to reserve a spot.
